In the face of adversity, communities often unite to rebuild and support one another. The Mary Faith Children's Home recently experienced a devastating incident when a fire, ignited by arson, claimed the life of one of the children and caused significant damage, including the destruction of a water tank where we had previously installed the MS-MZ water filter to help provide safe drinking water for the children. However, amidst the darkness, there shines a glimmer of hope as efforts are underway to restore the physical infrastructure and the spirit of the children who call this place home.
Tragedy Strikes
In a sinister act of arson, Mary Faith Children's Home is engulfed in flames, stealing away a precious young life and reducing essential facilities to ashes. The air is heavy with grief as the community grapples with the loss, shifting their focus to rebuilding and providing solace for the children who not only lost their shelter and belongings but, most tragically, a cherished friend.
The Road to Recovery
Despite the challenges, the Mary Faith Children's Home has shown incredible resilience. Through the support of the community and friends of the home such as Tuma Kimbi, a new hostel has been established for the children. This marks the beginning of the healing process as the children find solace and comfort in their new surroundings.
